I just tested different operators with Nokia 30 GSM terminal. I used Lynx and http GET request to send 20 messages at time. Here are my resulsts:
Operator 1 2.85 s/message Operator 1 2.75 Operator 2 3.2 Operator 3 2.9
So it took almost three second to send one message. Using direct SMSC connection all 20 messages were sent in less than second.
If someone has tested some other GSM modems, it would be interesting to see results.

is there a benchmark of kannel with statistics like "you can send x SMS per second on a single GSM Modem" etc, etc... ? I Cant't do that benchmark by my self, but i need that kind of figures ton convince a carrier to work with me.
