Thanks Tarun I was assuming the latest versions of Red Hat Linux have the client libraries installed by default. I tried rpm -qa | grep -i mysql and it gave me Mysql-3.23.58-1.9 Mysql-server-3.23.58-1.9 Mysql-devel-3.23.58-1.9
I use redhat 9. Do I still miss client libraries? How should I go about it?
