I just wanted to comment on this... I am a "user" not developer on Kannel since the days it started. Sure, it can be hard to get support, but you need to understand the group. We are talking about a group of mobile companies who are trying to stay on the cutting edge. If you for example ask a question about MMS, there are alot more answers. Why? My guess is buzz topic.

There is a HUGE archive of past mails, and I have found that I can solve 90% of problems from there.

As to your question, Bagas, Free "real" smsc for testing. That is the age old question everyone wants to know. Is there anyway to send a free SMS. Kannel, as an interface, connects to whatever is out there. If your country has an SMSC that they will let you conenct to to test, great. Some providers will give you a few SMS messages to test with. There is one in UK, HK Systems I think??

Otherwise, I would recommend you first check which SMSC you want to use, and then check the archives for experiences with that. From what I have seen, most are quite good, but I have had difficulty with SMPP, but it does work.

And another option is to use a GSM modem. Then you just pay the price of your regular SMS. Many phones are supported. I am using R520m for a long time.

if I were you I would start with that, a GSM modem. Perhaps a Nokia phone with serial cable.

Then I worked sending messages in a web environment like XML packets over an HTTP session with
