We connect to many different telcos, and there are some variances in how
MessageId is provided, and how DLR info is provided,
being opensource, you could add and fiddle some code to handle your
particalur circumstance,
we also wanted some other handling for passing in a transaction no,
(although some will say should use dlr-url) and we store
the dlr info in a gdbm files, these are extras we build to the open source
code, u can't do that if the code is closed.
If a stable build exactly works for your situation, your laughing, otherwise
u know u could change it if needed.

However it can be particularly stressful, for in a production environment,
and there are reasons to keep up with the
cvs head development, plus your own changes.
And also it is in C! ATM i'm dreaming of reproducing the kannel idea in C++,
for one thing piss off this C plugin style for DLR databases,
and smsc s, and piss off that octstr stuff, there creat, destroy, etc its
just crazy - working in C is a big backward for me. (-) but i won't have
the time.....
