I am not > indicating that it is a problem with kannel. oh yes we can seem to get tetchy with any criticism sorry! :) (we = me and all my multiple other personalities resident in this host) your installation is okay I'd say did you also run make check ? if you are installing from source maybe but that's a good way to install kannel kannel's very feature rich and stable but doesn't quite have the people working on it that could give the installs and docs as beautiful a polish as possible I think. Oh a caveat with make check (especially on redhat anyway). .... there are certain tests that are sure to hang (they do for me ... I looked in the past and made some changes and it fixed a couple but I don't have the time to look more and fix more of them up) Problem was to do with tests not successfully killing test helper processes. If most tests run okay it is a good indication your build is good. There is different killing on different linuxes so problems are possibly only with redhat. James.
