Juergen,
I saw a message you had posted in the Kannel forum back in June and wondered if you could offer further information. I'm having the same problems, but am curious-what corrections can be placed on a WAP client (an end user's phone)?
Thanks in advance, Josh Braun [EMAIL PROTECTED]

But in the meantime I suspect the problem somewhere else -- there are some peculiarities in the UDP layer that I am investigating. I'll get back when I know more.
I found it now. The client, which uses a user-mode IP/UDP implementation, sent UDP packets with invalid checksums. Using Linux's strace command, I could find out that these packets never arrived at the bearerbox. Due to some wierd effects, the behaviour was different using the localhost connection. I could resolve the problem by fixing the client.
Thanks to all who tried to help!
Regards, Juergen.
