Hello,

I'm using Kannel (Kannel bearerbox version `1.4.0'. Build `Mar 6 2005
23:28:25', compiler `3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)'. System Linux, release
2.4.27-1-386, version #1 Fri Sep 3 06:24:46 UTC 2004, machine i686. Hostname
localhost.localdomain, IP 127.0.0.1. Libxml version 2.6.16. Compiled with
MySQL 4.0.23, using MySQL 4.0.23. Using native malloc.)

I'm using Kannel as a sms gateway with a poll of gsm modem. By now I'm using
sim buffering to be sure I retrieve all the status report (DLR), but I'm not
sure that it is the best way. Could someone could confirm it ?

The poll of modem are three Nokia 12 and a Wavecom one.

I'm making very often mass sending (more than 1000 SMS ) through this poll
of modem but I' m not sure to receive all the DLR as you could see in the
statistique part .
the keepalive = 7 sec, MMS-enable are true for the Nokia modems. Validity
period = 169 (three days)

Stats :

about 80 % sms sent receive one MO with status= ACK (status 8)
about 45 % sms sent receive MO status = success (status 1)
about 5 % sms sent receive MO status = Non delivered (status 2)
some are buffered (status 4) depending of the operator

How could I improve the success ratio ? is it on my hands ?

Does someone make some comparaisons with smsc account (in mindmatics, or
other sms broker)?

Does someone has a detailled description of the status report (16, 8 4 2 1 )
and their goal ?

Thanks for your help
