Hi all We are using kannel 1.4.0 on Red Hat ES.
We had a problem when submitting a message to a smpp smsc. When the operator rejects the message (because they do not cover the route) they returm error code 0x00000008 in response to submit_sm. Apparently kannel interpreats this error code as "system error" and was resubmiting the same set of messages (about 4). It submitted the messages over 40,000 times between last night and this morning. It stopped only when we shut down the machine this morning. How do we solve this problem? Thanks for your assistance.
