I used to use Alejandro's function's, but at least for me, it didn't work right with some Motorola phones (Motorola V3 for example)

So I then started to use PPG

I sent an e-mail to the list of subject "PPG mini HOWTO!!! :)" where I posted my conf and a PHP function for sending Wap Push via PPG

hope it helps

regards,

Juan

I am actually using Alejandros php function linked below in a pre-production setup and it seems to be working fine. If like me you are too lazy to learn how to do PPG (for which there are pre-written functions to use and some documentation, especially in this list), then its pretty useful.

Sure you can, as long as your provider allows for binary messages (ie,
messages having an UDH set).

If you cannot do that, as a last resort you can try the "poor's man
wap-push": Send the URL in plain text on a regular SMS, most phones
provide one way or another to use the link.

Obviously, a wap-push is far better and nicer than this. Check the
documentation for the PPG (push proxy gateway).

You can also try this function I've wrote sometime ago:

Hope it helps,

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to send a WAP push message through the
SMPP connection i have with a provider through kannel?
New to the SMS messaging, so not even sure if this is possible..., or an
SMS with a url that the user can select? (think this is only possible
through a wap push).
