time ago someone made a patch for this, which I'm using with Kannel
1.4.1 by use of X-Kannel-Sender header
you can search the archives for it, if you don't find it I can send it
to you
after some mails I sent to devel list and the author of the patch, the
patch was commited to CVS on november I believe
so if you use Kannel CVS it will be already included
