The problem was solved by adding flow-control = 1 to the SMSC in question. My mistake :-)

To verify that the problem is not SMSC related, I tested the same message with NOWSMS gateway and it was sent through fine. I am using the latest CVS snapshot from today September 26/9-2007 and I have also tried using 1.4.1, which has the same problem.
