starting bearerbox gives me errors (attached)

I am using ubuntu 10.04. lsusb gives me :

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

which leads me to think that my Huawei dongle is connected to /dev/ttyUSB2.
However when I do : ls -l /dev/ttyUSB*
ls: cannot access /dev/ttyUSB*: No such file or directory. I have attached a
copy of my bearerbox.log file and my kannel.conf file.
