Try to add "+CMEE=1" to your init string and post logs again. It will yield an extended error message, displaying the cause of what went wrong.
An overview of the extended message error codes is here: http://www.smssolutions.net/tutorials/gsm/gsmerrorcodes/ == Rene -----Original Message----- From: users [mailto:users-boun...@kannel.org] On Behalf Of Patrick Herzfeld Sent: maandag 15 juli 2013 11:20 To: users@kannel.org Subject: Trouble sending sms with Teltonika E10 using kannel Hi there I would like to use Kannel to send and receive SMS with my Teltonika ModemUSB/E10, but I have problems with the configuration. I think I messed something up with the init-string, as I don't really know what all the parameters and flags mean and how they are used. I tried several init-string options like "AT Q0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0;+CMGF=0;+CNMI=3,2,0,0,0" , init-string="ATE0V1;AT &C1 &D2 S0=0" and many seem to work, but when i try to send a sms, a get the following error: [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: TP-Validity-Period: 24.0 hours [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: --> AT+CMGS=17^M [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: <-- AT+CMGS=17 [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: <-- > [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: send command status: 1 [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: --> 0011000B911497912931F70000A703CC2713 [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: --> ^Z [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: <-- > 0011000B911497912931F70000A703CC2713 [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: <-- ERROR [6] ERROR: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: Generic error: ERROR [6] DEBUG: AT2[/dev/ttyACM0]: send command status: -1 Can you help me to get this work? Attached is my kannel.conf from /etc/kannel/kannel.conf and the whole output from running "bearerbox -v 0 /etc/kannel/kannel.conf" Freundliche GrĂ¼sse / kind regards Patrick Herzfeld
