Hi KIE community, My name is Zhihui Lai. I have been studying and working with Drools since 2016. In 2019, I published the first Chinese book on Drools, titled 《Drools规则引擎技术指南》, which covers the theory, implementation, and practical applications of the Drools rule engine.
Over the years, I have been deeply exploring Drools' internal mechanisms, including the ReteOO algorithm, the Phreak engine, the lifecycle of KieBase/KieSession, and event processing. Recently, I have been focusing on Drools 7.40.0 and writing a new book, part of which has been recognized by some experts. I am thrilled to see the KIE project join the Apache Software Foundation, and I look forward to actively participating in the community — learning from others, sharing technical insights, and contributing wherever I can.
