Dear Nassim,

If the EID you are trying to register belongs to a bigger prefix and the map server is configured to not accept more specific entries for this prefix ( disaggregate the prefix in smaller ones) , then you will not be able to register your laptop to the map server. If you are not able to register your EID into the map server, then is normal that you don't receive map notify but you should receive the answers of the map requests (map reply). If you don't receive map replies and you have configured correctly sysctl parameters (explained in the README file), then it could be a problem of the Map Resolver that you are using or a firewall. LISPmob need to have UDP port 4341 and 4342 opened in both sides. You can use lig <https://github.com/LISPmob/lig> to check if your map resolver is replying.

Best regards

Albert

Dear Albert,
let me think you first for helping me,for using the mailing list i added the address [email protected] to the receiver list of this message, then, the address assigned to my laptop is a public ip it belongs to the subnet 134.157.246.0/24 so i think that i am not behind a NAT traversal, and about the firewall,i disabled the firewall of ubuntu (i have no entry in the iptables table),and because i have no idea if there is or not a firewall installed for the network of the university, i connected my laptop to a public wireless network (FREEWifi) and i still have the same problem. i personally think that the problem comes from the EID because the EID belongs to non used address in the lip6 lisp site that is already registered on the London map-server like a non-mobile site with a non-mobile xTRs, so i want to know if the responses are not routed to the lip6 lisp site instead being routed to my laptop.
Best regards.

Dear Nassim,

If you are not receiving map notifies or map-replies then probably there is a firewall between your pc and Internet. The IP assigned to your laptop is private or public? Notice that the current version of LISPmob doesn't support NAT traversal. Please, it will be more suitable for the community if you use the mailing list. You can register yourself here <http://lispmob.org/mailman/listinfo/users>
