Dear Albert,
My name is Jaegook Lee studying LISPmob.
We have tried to test lispmob for LTE with tethering of smartphone.
;
Our test environment is like as follows.
Because the laptop does't have any interface for LTE, we use "tethering"
function of smartphone.
i.e., smartphone is conneted to my own laptop via USB cable and we
enabled tethering function of smartphone.
With tethering function of smartphone, we can access Internet via laptop
(when we does not use lispmob).
When we typed ifconfig command in the laptop, the IP address is as follows.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
usb0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 02:50:3a:31:33:68
inet addr:192.168.42.147 Bcast:192.168.42.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
inet6 addr: fe80::50:3aff:fe31:3368/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:10 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:15 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueue len:1000
RX bytes:1149 (1.1 KB) TX bytes:3775 (3.7 KB)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will install lispmob to our laptop while using tethering of
smartphone (this smartphone is connected to laptop).
As we know, if we enable NAT Traversal Aware option, the private IP can
be used.
However, smartphone (that is connected laptop for tethering), also uses
private IP. As a res ult, IP address will be NATed again for LTE.
We already got the EID with NAT Traversal Aware Support from Lori.
Is it possible to use lispmob in this environment?
Best,
Jaegook Lee
