in fact, even if our DDT/MS/MR node can run alone without the OpenLISP 
data-plane, consider our implementation on https://github.com/lip6-lisp (NB: 
not for mobile devices/endpoints) an OpenLISP development version (with MS, MR, 
root, PxTR, RTR-TE functions working on the www.lisp-lab.org platform) that 
will sooner or later be integrated in the stable version in openlisp.org. This 
is in Luigi’s TODO list. 
FYI here is a paper on the OpenLISP control-plane architecture dating back to
