But, however it is, SCAP service should attempt to start HISV service as part of openSAF startup and then it should fail, if the plugin-compatibility is not there. Isnt it? In our case, we don't see any logs related to HISV and none of the logs contain information about "HISV" "HCD" "HPL" or "HPI" ie, HISV is not running, when openSAF is started. Also, hisv service should not be started manually, it should be started by SACP when openSAF starts. The HISV service is started by SCAP so you won't see a line in nodeinit.conf for it. The Makefile at the top of the opensaf source tree needs to be updated to include the ncs_hisv executable in the rpm.
