Thanks for starting a new thread.

If the application configuration  XML file is not proper then the avsv demo apllication should have failed but it didn't.Demo application was successful.

Nirmala

Hi Nirmala,

Can you please ask questions on a new mailing thread. I did that for you in this case.
openSAF AvSv is based on SAF AMF spec.
If your component is not instantiated when openSAF was started that means your application
configuration in the XMl might not be correct please verify that.

Hi,

I have a problem while executing the testcases for AvSv.

Actually the component is already defined and it should comeup when the service is started if i am not wrong.

But in my cases when i start the service and run the testcase it fails showing the error where the component is not defined.

When we define the component using setenv command, then the initialisation API's works fine, but registration is failing with the result as SA_AIS_ERR_LIBRARY.

Anyone faced the same problem.

and also the health monitoring API's are failing because the proxy component not set.

Whats the format for it.?

Hi Andras,

You can also demo health check failure by causing a infinite loop in
your application.

This AVA down fast detection is done for only the registered process of
The component. So if you want to do training have a component with 2
processes
One the registered process which doesn't do health check and the other
process
Should start health check. Then when the none registered process is
killed
The health check failure will only cause the recovery to happen.

Sugadeesh
