Sorry for the trouble this is causing you. It's always been quite cumbersome to 
do this kind of upgrade.

My best suggestion right now is to join: https://chat.almalinux.org/landing#/
And see if anyone in there can help you out. It looks like your python2.7 
installation is broken. And since yum is dependent on that, you're kinda 
stranded.

Unfortunately I only have limited time, so I can't help you out with that.
