I have the same problem if I use a Windows 11 PC, no problem when using a Windows 10. To solve it I had to install an older driver, PL2303 Prolific version 1120. You can find it via an internet search, or I can send you the files (actually, put the archive on a file transfer service, because the antivirus will certainly stop it if I send it by email).
