Ken, Jim, Thank your for your responses. Unfortunately I do not know enough about these radios to determine if they're full band. I bought them so my kids can easily use them. They have a fixed antenna and likely output at 2W or less. Like I said above, the Manual only lists 462 - 476MHz frequency range. Also, like you mentioned, their 8-16 channels transmit at 2W by default, but avoid the 476 range.
I'll try to install their own software and see if I can indeed change those frequencies, or if they're locked by firmware. I'm new to this. I like these radios, I hoped that I would have less problems with them that with some other FRS radios that I researched.
