Hi,

Please take the tax calculation notes (2008-09) from here:
http://shakthimaan.com/downloads/notes/tax-calculation.txt

If you have any clarification/doubts, please let me know. 'a', 'b',
'c' are all decimal values that are to be filled by the
user/accountant. x.Total values are output values that are calculated
and used.

We could start with Model database design. We could come up with E-R
diagram (using umbrello?), define the one-to-one, one-to-many,
many-to-many relationships, and then devise a database model that can
be used in Rails Model. Here we will have decided the primary, foreign
keys and table schema. We will write test cases to validate the model.
I am in the process of getting UI designs from an UI expert.

I am happy to invite Vamsee Kanakala to this list, who will also help
us in this project from a design perspective. I also invite inputs
from other members who would like to share their feedback -- from what
they have observed or used.
