Position Title : Web Engineer (LAMP)
Location : Pune, India
Job Type : Contract
Position Summary
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and supports web-based applications to
assist the data collection, reporting, analysis, task automation and
system integration for the business units. Contributes to the design of
the overall processes, systems, and tools used to enhance both customer
and associate experiences. Ensures the existing web-based applications
fit into the overall infrastructure architecture.
Key Responsibilities
* Solicit, collect, and understand user needs and requirement for
any ad-hoc web applications.
* Develop and maintain internal web applications that are
necessary for the operational data collection, metrics
reporting, and the dashboards.
* Design, build, test and support ad-hoc web applications for
automating administrative tasks internally.
* Manage the bug resolution and feature requests related to any
internally developed web applications.
* Document and maintain the training material related to
internally developed web-based applications.
* Collaborate with other developers and volunteer resources to
consolidate and improve overall application framework, and
to ensure that any web applications developed fit into the existing
infrastructure architecture.
* Work with other developers and infrastructure resources to
integrate web applications developed into the overall processes
and systems.
* Experience with any Business Intelligence and Data Analysis
methodologies and applications.
Position requirements
- At least 2 years of excellent hands on experience with PHP, PERL,
Python, Java, SQL
- Experience with Databases like MySQL, Postgres
- Good Understanding of PHP Frameworks (Example, Zend)
- Good Understanding of HMTL/CSS/Javascript/JSP
- A team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to work independently
- Certifications like RHCE, MySQL, Zend would be a plus.
