Hi all,
I am subscribed to Linux-kernel mail-list and Linux-usb mail-list. it
was ok initially but the number of emails per hour is growing and now i
can't really follow up with the amount of information.
I have queries regarding the patching system followed in linux
development. How are a sequence of patches checked and applied finally?
for example;
Developer-1 submits patches {patch-1, patch-2, patch3}
Developer-2 submits patches {patch-4, patch-5(which is another patching
done in patch-3 of dev-1)}
Maintainer- accepts patches 1,2,4 and rejects 3,5.
what does he do then, and how dos he apply them?
Also what tools or methods one uses to check patches and their aptness?
