Check, just to be sure, that the kmod-nvidia module version "matches" the new 
kernel.  I had this problem one time when updating Fedora 9.  Sometimes, after 
a new kernel, it takes a couple of days before the proper kmod is available 
from Fusion.  (I had it take as long as a week one time.)
