I just ran dnf search all mp3 and got a lot of hits, but no gstreamer
plugings.  I added a pipe to less so I could scroll around in the
output.  I think the library that is essential for decoding mp3s is
libmad, for encoding, it's lame.

So, installing the additional gstreamer plugins that made this work,
probably pulled libmad in as a dependency.
