For what it's worth, that depends on the reader.  The write-only tab is
just a bit of plastic that a sensor in the reader looks at, it does
nothing to the card.  If the reader doesn't have a sensor, or is blocked
by cruft collecting in the slot, your card may be writeable.

i.e. Always be sensibly cautious with your photos.
