I have a similar issue. I'm running F25 with latest updates and I'm
using the Mate desktop. Recently the mate-screensaver has failed to run
after the system has been idle for 5 minutes. It does run if I lock the
screen manually. Also the screen is supposed to blank after 5 minutes,
but this doesn't happen neither automatically nor when I manually lock
the screen.
