That might speak to a problem with yumex. As I say I don't use it (or
any GUI updater, though you might want to try dnfdragora). Personally I
only use dnf from the command line as I can (usually) understand what
it's doing.

However, this is all hypothetical. Your problem may be completely
unrelated to the actual tool, I've no idea.
