Thunderbird warns me about some links. I'm not sure what its criteria are, but it asks if I'm sure that I want to go to the link because it doesn't match what it expects to be valid. For example, if I get an email with a survey request that is at a different domain than the sender.

Some people sign their posts so the recipients can check that *they*
were the author.  You can do that, too.

I assume that you mean crypto signing, but even using a single line text signature would also help, at least to distinguish from automated impersonation.
