True, but that's the simplest way to setup networking so all
the virtual machine will be in the same subnet with my PC and look
like "real" machines to the rest of the network.

Not a problem at work, they were just completely reorganizing
the network in prep for moving to a new building. We are
moved now and things are stable again. I probably could
just go back to static IP (which always seemed to work).

I have managed to bring the network up after booting, but then
lots of network services have failed to start and I have to
track them all down as well, rebooting till it works is easier :-).
