So, I have found that so-called flatpak has this software for fedora.

https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.meetfranz.Franz

What are flatpaks and why are they better or worse than rpm. Separately, there
is someone who tried to create a spec file:
https://github.com/meetfranz/franz/issues/647#issuecomment-438224187

But the spec file uses yarn. I had no idea as to what that was so I looked into
the repos and came up with yarnpkg which would install 138M worth of stuff. Are
there alternatives?

I will try the rpm route unless the flatpak offers a better approach.

Many thanks,
Ranjan
