Yes, but that one isn't your system's root.  It is the squashfs located on the 
LiveCD.

So, if you are using stand-alone partitions you can fsck as you normally do 
using the device name.

If you are using lvm then you need to do a bit more.

The output from "lsblk" will give you more information when booted to the 
LiveCD.
