+1. Unless you know of a critical fix it is best to not mess with the firmware.
if you don't know of an issue then upgrading fw is more likely to kill your device than fix anything. Only the "Enterprise" OEM's who put too much screwed up crap (to increase reliability) in their firmware (broken stuff so making it less reliable than if they kept it simple) want/need you to upgrade firmware often because those extra features are delivered horribly broken.
