Resuming from last night...

The extra old kernels have been removed from the grub menu. Corresponding
files have been removed from
/boot/
/boot/loader/entries/

Thomas, your post came after I did the above, and I did the above using the
"rm" command. Maybe the time to re-address your suggestions is when I address
/lib/modules/ to clean up other leftover stuff from the old kernels. But thank-you for
your suggestions.

I'm aware of /lib/modules/. I'll come back to that in a separate thread
sometime in the future after other issues have been dealt with. Thank-you,
Jeffrey, for your post on that directory.

Note: This thread is *not* about rescue kernels. I do not have rescue kernel
problems that I'm aware of.

So let's move on to the memory test part of this thread.

/boot/ has one memory test entry:
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 144344 Aug 3 18:00 memtest86+x64.bin

/boot/loader/entries/ has one memory test entry:
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 158 Oct 5 14:01
70857e3fb05849139515e66a3fdc6b38-0-memtest86+.conf

But the grub menu has two memory test entries:
Memtest86+ (memtest86-x64.bin-6.20...
Fedora Memtest memtest86+-5.31...

How do I get rid of the older grub menu memory test entry (Fedora Memtest
memtest86+-5.31...")?
What else relating to that older memory test entry is on my hard drive?
