First ensure that the BIOS has CSM (legacy boot, by whatever name used) enabled.
After exiting setup, hit the BBS hotkey during POST, which will present a boot
device selection menu. Choose the non-UEFI version of F40 presented on the
installation media.

If you don't know your BBS hotkey, you may see it displayed during POST.
