Some NVME drives have needed firmware updates -- try `sudo fwupdtool get-updates` and check the vendor's site. You may find some messages related to your problem by comparing search results for boots with different kernels. I would try: `journalctl --no-hostname -b N -g nvme > nvme_N.log` to start. -- George N. White III
