I find when I'm doing admin tasks, not only do I issue commands to do
things, I'm listing directories, changing directories, creating config
files and making notes.  I really want a full normal environment, and I
want to know what it is.

Just trying "sudo bash" on a non-Fedora box (where I am at the moment),
I notice that "echo $PATH" is different from "su -" as just one simple
test.
