There's no good answer to that.  At the moment, you can reasonably
presume that it just becomes unsupported.  And eventually you won't be
able to use it on the internet because HTTPS (or any other kind of
secure connection) will fail (certificates have expiry dates, servers
refuse old techniques, etc).

None of us will know if Microsoft timebombed anything in it.
