Hi
Have anyone found browser response under linux 6.18 kind of sluggish?
I updated to the last two kernels and both firefox and chrome struggle
opening new windows and showing content.

By luck, I still had a 6.17 kernel installed and browser response is
back to normal.

How can I troubleshoot what is going on?

I have been noticing a slow-down for some time now - not just 6.18. I know I overload my system with browsers and lots of terminals but it is def the browsers, particularly Chrome, that eventually grind the system to a near halt - requiring logging out of all the browsers - and then I usually just reboot anyway . .

Using Tanel Poder's Linux Process Snapper v1.2.9, the #1 suspect is the thread "ThreadPoolForeg".

Another indicator from using glances is high iowait values - which I haven't worked out how to deal with yet . .
