Hi Frank, given that you are saying you have been seeing those messages for some time during kernel updates, is there an issue on my system where I have never seen those sorts of messages during kernel updates? Having said this though I don't know if dracut is even being run on my system. I did an update about 15 minutes ago which updated to 6.18.10 (we still don't have the kernel drivers for the mediatek 7927 wireless chipset even though they were expected in the 6.18 kernel) and I didn't get any error messages from that.

I have no idea why the script is trying to write to a non-existent directory. As long as it has no bearing on the system functionality, I do not care. There's too much noise around already :-)
