gimp: when using the "paint tool" how do I make lines

Hold down shift only makes little circles on the page

On F42, I see that holding CTRL & SHIFT down allows the paint tool to
draw lines at various consistent angles. Not any angle possible, but
horizontal, vertical, and several in between. Rather like the hours of
a clock, though I didn't bother to check if it were 12 different
angles.

Hi Tim,

Ah Ha! You click once, hold down both ctrl and shift,
as tiny + sign will appear, let go, then click again.

Thank you!
