Only one power point in every room except for the kitchen and the lounge
And here in Colorado, that would never pass inspection. In order for a house or apartment building to be up to code there must be no more than 6' between wall outlets and that goes for every room, even rooms that are only intended for storage, or other uses that don't normally need an electrical connection. I don't know what the rule is back in California where I used to live, but whatever it was it didn't require that many outlets.
