You trimmed out the solution to your problem from my reply :). I'll
quote it again,

To help you along this goal, this[1] wiki page will help. Its rather easy
to build a custom live media from kickstart files[2], specially when you
are not limited by the size of a CD (since you mention you prefer a DVD
over a CD).
