This link only discusses patches with the 3.2 kernel, not the
2.6.42 kernel. I realise they are closely related, but I doubt that
those patches will work for 2.6.X kernels.

"Good to hear" that I'm not the only one. :-) I've had to drop back the
a 2.6.41.10 kernel to also Workstation to run.
