In order to get libsane-hpaio, the part of HPLIP responsible for scanning, to know where the scanner is you have to have a CUPS queue configured for the printer function of the device using the "hp" backend. All libsane-hpaio does for "network scanning" is look through the configured CUPS queues to see which ones have a device URI starting with "hp:/...". Tim. */
