i was blocked on mozilla bugzilla because i reprted this
in the meantime years ago and still do not understand why
they refuse a first step with two buttons:

"try automatically"
"leave my fuck in peace, i am mailadmin and know what i do"

they called me even lazy because i refuse to understand where is the improvement
to force me implement the following serverside to fix a braindead GUI

however, if it does not find any informations recent thunderbird
versions have a manual option somewhere in the useless dialog

in the first versions of this crap you where more or less lost
