In Xfce there *might* be a 'terminal' icon on one of the 'panels'.
Depends on what you configured. The areas at the top and, if you have
one, at the bottom. A black square that looks like a CRT monitor. But
you should know that. If you have a panel and you don't have the
'terminal' you can add the terminal 'starter'. If not there should be
one in the 'Applications Menu' near the top. If not there the Xfce
terminal *might* not be installed. It should show up in the
'Applications Menu' after you install it.

I use Xfce and I don't recall it ever not being installed by default.
