Hi, I'm unning Fedora 20, sorry I missed to put that in. Yes, my current laptop is also a MBP. Now, I did do a couple of reboots and tried both VGA and HDMI (mainly to make sure the projector's VGA port wasn't faulty, it is still connected to the display port on my laptop). I will look into the question of drivers. It seems to me that quite a few have had similar problems, also with PCs but you might be right that it is a Mac issue. I will check to see if I can figure it out.
